About MIAC
The Music Industries Association of Canada (MIAC) is a national, non-profit, trade association representing Canadian manufacturers, distributors and retailers of musical instruments and accessories, keyboards, sound reinforcement products and published music.
Incorporated in 1972 by Canadian Federal Charter and currently have 160 manufacturer and distributor members in all product categories, and 150 retailer members. MIAC is governed by a 15-member Board of Directors (10 manufacturer/distributor directors and 5 retailer directors) which meets regularly to guide and monitor Association activities.
The Association’s main event each year is the national PAL Show, Canada’s Largest Production Technologies Show featuring pro audio, lighting, video and staging products held simultaneously with the MIAC Show.
The MIAC Show is Canada’s National Music Products Show featuring Brass Instruments, Stringed Instruments, Percussion Instruments, Woodwind Instruments, Pianos, Accordians, Keyboards, Electronic & Electric Instruments, Sheet Music, Music Publications, Accessories & Hardware, Parts & Components, Repair & Tuning Equipment, Music Related Computer Hardware & Software Services, Association & Media.
